haveiliedtoyou: (I'm sorry. Did you want something?)
Believe it or not, you are not the first one to point out that the moon looks different. So you might want to consider that before providing another [ there's a brief smattering of static ] observation to the rest of us. Speaking of moons, to those of you who are wondering, moon rocks are a primary component of portal gel. But without any portal-making devices their best use is painting your walls white. It's also easy to clean off surfaces painted with portal gel, as it doesn't get stained by any pesky liquids your surfaces might encounter, such as blood.

[ There's a couple more bursts of static, interspersed with what sounds like it might be GLaDOS trying to form words, but nothing is intelligible until-- ]

There is in fact a cake, but you don't get to eat any of it because the test concludes with your candescence. [ Then the feed quickly cuts. ]

(( GLaDOS is stuck with the Mask of Truth there is no way I could pass this up, so good luck lying to her! ))

Well then, congratulations on saving your entire planet from effective ruin. I'm sure you must be proud.

If only someone on our planet had had the foresight to kill the ones responsible for opening an interdimensional portal, we likely could all have gone through a lot less headache.

Too bad humans tend to dislike killing humans they consider useful even more than they like killing alien species effectively waging war on their entire planet. So I suppose the chances of that happening were pretty slim.

[...Wait what]

So what, they ignored the root?

Humans were responsible for the portal. No one bothered stopping them before they opened it despite a clear lack of adequate testing. It was quite an impressive oversight when you think about it.

Well. Not like much can be expected of humans in the first place.

'Scuse me, plenty can be expected of humans.

I suppose you're right. They just have a tendency to disappoint on most of those expectations.

Dunno 'bout that either, but I'll let go.
