So. Has anyone out there actually bothered to examine these wings properly? Considering the inevitable amount of comments they get to one degree or another, I'm guessing none of you have them naturally. It doesn't seem like anyone has bothered to do a medical study, either, if your primary source of information on them is anything to go by.

If you'd like to prove me pleasantly wrong, go right ahead. It would be nice to underestimate someone for a change. Otherwise, well. I'm taking volunteers.

That would depend on the data you're looking for. After all, with enough properly-designed simulations, one can obtain a model from results for almost anything.

Ah... w-well, primarily... I suppose data on its... m-mechanisms. How it is able to... p-perform the functions it has.

I... s-suspect that the Shifting technology is, er, c-closely guarded in terms of... accessibility.

Observing the outside of the box from the inside is widely known to be a difficult task. However, I do have most of the parameters of what is possible within the simulation. From there, it's just a matter of working outwards.

[Sounds logical enough, although Robert doubts it will be nearly so simple in practise. If it was, a combination task force of himself and Don probably could've already figured out how the computers worked.]

You appear to be under the assumption that this was a single simulation. I have in fact performed many different tests with a wide variety of conditions. [ And subjects. ] Providing a data readout, especially in a form parsable by humans, would be exceedingly difficult as well as essentially pointless.

... Wh-why would it be... pointless...? Surely you could... b-benefit from additional minds reviewing the d-data...

[And an organic mind might have different insights than a non-organic one.]

I have had more than enough minds program me with various data processing routines that it might as well be throwing an excess of resources at satisfying one human's idle curiosity.

... If th-that is how you f-feel, then I can... h-hardly ask you to against your w-will...
